Welcome to my photography world! I'm Shana Nelson aka Dissm1ssed , a multidiscipline photographer dedicated to capturing life's moments in the most beautiful and authentic way possible. Here's a glimpse into who I am and what drives my love for photography:

I've been a photographer since 2016. Started as a sales photographer at camelback mountain in my hometown of Pocono mountain Pennsylvania. Decided to move to NYC to study film and television production at NYIT. While studying I was a freelance photojournalist for Theater Pizzaz { here is my work with the company: https://www.theaterpizzazz.com/?s=Shana+Nelson}. Took  a pause to study my major which helped with understanding photography/Video production. Graduated college, continued working in video production as an Audio Visual Technician, and went back to photography now with the knowledge of really understanding how to create my style as a photographer.

My style of photographer is using as much color as possible while still creating the feel that the client wants. I always use color either with lights or post production. I want to show the how colorful the world really is both in natural settings and in studio.
